Day 1 Nyerere National Park,

currently, the largest in all of Africa is a recently established park that forms an integral part of the renowned Selous Game Reserve. It pays homage to the late Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere, the nation's founding figure. This park was officially designated in 2019 and spans a vast expanse of over 30,000 square kilometres. Your rendezvous with adventure begins as a guide collects you from your hotel, airport, or ferry. After a safari briefing, you'll set forth on a southbound odyssey towards Nyerere National Park, a journey spanning roughly five and a half (5 & 1/2) hours from bustling Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, a delectable lunch awaits, followed by an enthralling afternoon of boat safaris on the Rufiji River. Your overnight sanctuary is Mloka Safari Lodge, where you'll relish a full board experience.


Day 2

After breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive in Nyerere National Park, complete with packed lunch boxes. Nyerere National Park is known for its exceptional wildlife populations, exceeding those found in many other African parks. Here, you'll encounter impressive numbers of elephants, buffaloes, and lions year-round, possibly unmatched anywhere else on Earth. Enthusiasts are particularly drawn to the park for its reputation as the ultimate sanctuary for African wild dogs. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic site chosen by your guide, followed by more game driving until the evening. Return to Mloka Safari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.


Day 3

Start your day with an invigorating morning walking safari that lasts approximately two and a half hours. After your walk, return to your lodge to freshen up and enjoy a satisfying breakfast. Following breakfast, we'll set off on a journey to Mikumi National Park, making a brief stop at the Cate Hotel for a leisurely lunch. Once we arrive at the Mikumi lodge, we'll take you on a captivating half-day safari through the expansive Mikumi savanna. Here, you'll have the opportunity to encounter a wide variety of wildlife, including lions, elands, hartebeests, buffalos, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, elephants, wild dogs, and an array of bird species. Your dinner and overnight accommodations will be provided at Camp Bastian/ Camp Atupele, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay.


Day 4

Your day begins with an exhilarating early morning game drive. Upon your return to the lodge, a delicious breakfast awaits you. Following breakfast, we embark on a 6 to 7-hour drive to Dar es Salaam, passing through the by-now familiar landscapes and vibrant villages. Our lunch stop will be at Msolwa, and then we'll resume our journey to Dar es Salaam. As your adventure comes to a close, our guide will be on hand to assist you. Whether you're headed to catch the last ferry to Zanzibar, the airport, or your hotel, we'll ensure a seamless transition for the next leg of your journey.
