Die Ocean Breeze Energy GmbH & Co. KG ist Eigentümer und Betreiber des Windparks BARD Offshore 1 (BO1) rund 100 km vor der deutschen Nordseeküste. BO1 erster kommerzieller und aktuell leistungsstärkster Hochsee-Windpark Deutschlands ist seit September 2013 komplett am Stromnetz angeschlossen. Mit 80 Windkraftanlagen der 5-Megawatt-Klasse wird eine Nennleistung von 400 Megawatt erreicht – das entspricht dem Strombedarf von mehr als 400.000 Haushatlten.
